Teaching focus

Digital technologies, electronics, and scaffolded project-based learning.

Technical background

Python, MySQL, MongoDB, data processing, and practical software workflows.

Professional style

Careful planning, clear communication, and calm support for learners.

Emerging Secondary Technology educator with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering from Shanghai University, currently building a teaching career in New Zealand. I bring together classroom placement experience, engineering training, and professional work in software and data to design learning that is well-structured, hands-on, and accessible to a wide range of students.

My teaching interest is in helping students make sense of technical ideas through practical projects, clear explanations, and visible progress. I am particularly drawn to digital technologies and electronics, where planning, creativity, and problem-solving can be developed together.

Technology Teacher, Burnside High School, Canterbury, New Zealand

  • Teaching Year 9 Digital Technologies (DGT) and Year 11 Design & Digital Technologies (DTP).
  • Developing curriculum resources including a Digital Technologies knowledge graph, a Year 9 Adventure Map, a Year 10 Adventure Map, and a Year 11 Adventure Map to support student learning. Later, to make the adventure maps more accessible to other teachers, I built a management page that allows teachers to edit courses and progress on the web, and export them as standalone web pages for classroom use.
  • Designing hands-on projects that balance technical challenge with clear, achievable steps for learners.
